Is this official Futurama merchandise?

No. Every design on Printblur was uploaded by the artist who drew it. What you get is a fan reading of the show, not a studio release. Licensed Futurama goods exist elsewhere. Seller art reaches corners like Panucci's Pizza, Slurm and the Space Pope that a licensed line rarely prints.

Which Futurama design works for someone who has only seen a few episodes?

Character art. Bender, Fry and Leela read instantly, even to a viewer who stopped after season one. All My Circuits and Space Pope logos only land for a heavier fan who can place them, and they fall flat if not. When in doubt, pick the Planet Express crew.

Are there Futurama designs made for the holidays?

Yes. Robot Santa, the Hypnotoad and the Fry gag about another lousy year all turn up on holiday pieces. Compare those in the Christmas designs group if you want something tied to a date. Pick the Bender and Leela art instead if the gift has to work all year.
